Introducing Galaxy Dash: Prepare To Launch!
In anticipation for the launch of Galaxy Dash this Thursday, we’ve put together a classic arcade inspired mini-game to introduce you to the world and give you a fun way to spread the word to your friends.
In Galaxy Dash: Prepare To Launch you will blast asteroids and explore landmarks to collect crystals and boost your score, while avoiding crashing! Share your scores and compete with friends on Twitter and Facebook!
We hope you enjoy Galaxy Dash: Prepare To Launch and have a blast with Galaxy Dash when it releases world wide on September 18th for iOS and Android.
Galaxy Dash: Prepare To Launch requires the Unity Web Player browser plugin to play. Many browsers come with this already installed, but if yours does not, you can find it here.
We are excited to announce that Galaxy Dash will be launching worldwide on Thursday, September 18th! The game will be available on your favorite Android or iOS device, so mark your calendars and get prepped for blast off!
We wanted to thank all our friends and family who have supported us, and give a special shout out to everyone who helped playtest the game to provide feedback. We couldn’t have made it without you, and we can’t wait to let the world play Galaxy Dash!
Join us for our launch day event here on Facebook, and we’ll see you in the Outer Run!
Galaxy Dash Launch Event
Our friends over at 148Apps had a chance to check out Galaxy Dash as part of their series “It Came from Canada!” They wrote up an awesome preview of the game and captured some fantastic footage as well. Check out the article here!
Team SuperMoon has been heads down over the past several months, most importantly putting the final touches on Galaxy Dash. We’re eager to say that Galaxy Dash is now in the final stages of development and getting ready to launch soon! As part of our effort to gather more feedback on the game, we participated in our second Big Indie Pitch yesterday, hosted by Pocket Gamer and Samsung during Casual Connect.
We are humbled and excited to announce that Galaxy Dash won 3rd place at the event! We were honored to share the stage with a bunch of talented indie developers, many of whom are showcased in a great write-up here:
Thanks to all the judges for their support, and we can’t wait to show more of Galaxy Dash!
Over the past few months our team at SuperMoon has been hard at work, going through the unknowns of both starting a company and developing a game on our own. The journey has been adventurous and the hard work is paying off, as today we are excited to officially reveal our first game — Galaxy Dash!
Galaxy Dash is an action-arcade game where players take on the role of a star captain and privateer who is navigating through The Outer Run, a dangerous but lucrative smuggling route on the edge of the galaxy. Players will pilot their starship to dodge hazards, blast enemies, and collect valuable cargo as they make their way through the challenges of The Outer Run.
At the end of each run, players can use their earnings to upgrade ships and hire a crew of scoundrels to customize their ship’s special abilities. Players can then challenge themselves to complete missions, record their high scores, and compete against friends to become the most infamous pilot in the galaxy!
We’ll be doing our best to share more details over the next several weeks, and in the meantime please check out a first look at some of the screenshots from Galaxy Dash!
Maybe its something about working in the games industry, but lunch time has always been a special part of the day. This is one of the best times to chat about the games you’re playing, what achievement you unlocked last night, or gossip about the latest rumor you read on Kotaku.
At our previous larger company, we had a tradition of Team Lunch Wednesdays, where we always went off campus for lunch with the entire team. Favorite spots included our go-to sushi place and the SOMA Streat Food park. This chance to hang out as a team helped foster an amazing culture, and eventually became our favorite time of the week.
As we formed SuperMoon, and despite not being in the heart of SOMA or having a large team, we wanted to continue that spirit of lunch being our favorite time to chat . So every day we carve out time to make sandwiches, sit at the kitchen table, and chat about games. Popular sandwiches usually include PB&Js, Turkey, or Salami, and occasionally we’ll be treated with cookies or a dessert from one of our supportive significant others : ) Today we talked about The Last of Us DLC and their making-of documentary, and since March is packed with new game releases there will be no shortage of available gaming discussion.
Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoy your lunch as much as we do!
We’re excited to announce that this Thursday (2/6), the SuperMoon team will be participating in the Big Indie Pitch at Apps World SF! We can’t wait to reveal what we’ve been working on, and gather feedback from the indie, journalist, and publishing community. If you are attending Apps World, please stop by the Big Indie Pitch on Thursday at 2:00pm and say hi!
We hope to see you there!
Hey guess what? We started a game company!
On behalf of our small team, I’d like to welcome you to the SuperMoon Games community! Our goal here at SuperMoon is to create approachable, bite-sized games that can be enjoyed by both veteran gamers and an eager generation of new players. We’re excited to show the world what we’re working on, and plan to reveal details on our debut title in the upcoming weeks!
In the meantime, please visit the About Us page to learn more about the team behind SuperMoon, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get all the latest SuperMoon updates. We look forward to having you accompany us on this journey, and can’t wait to show you more!
Thanks for stopping by!
